The organizing team consists of students of economics from the University of Copenhagen, volunteering to create the best case competition in economics. Together with our partners, we create a case experience for participants who want to test their economic knowledge and skills in a case solving environment, as well as equipping them with the best tools to further their abilities.

We are very proud to present Ørsted as case company of The Case Experience 2019. Ørsted is a leading renewable energy company seeking to create a world that runs entirely on green energy. On this day, March 16, more than 100 economics students from universities in Denmark are solving the case centred around Ørsted’s business in the US green energy market.
This year we are proud to announce the Ministry of Finance as partner for our Pre-case, which will take place Monday March 11th. If your team is one of the three finalists you will have the unique opportunity to visit the Ministry, where the finals will be hosted Thursday the 14th of March. To give you an idea of how it is to be an economist in the Ministry of Finance we had a talk with deputy permanent secretary and cand.polit Lars Haagen.

Our main event, The Case Experience, will take place in The House of Industry located in the heart of Copenhagen. Together, we will host the Nail the Case workshop where you can get ready to solve this year’s case and leverage your presentational skills. McKinsey & Company is a global management consulting firm that serves a broad mix of private and public institutions.
On March 17 and 18, Polit Case Competition 2018 took off with some inspiring days filled with problem solving, team work and presentations. This year’s case company was Haldor Topsoe, and the case evolved around their ammonia business in Africa.
The winner of Polit Case Competition 2018 was Team Helmig, consisting of Ebbe Faurschou (KU), Thor Snedker Brandt (AU), Thomas Gadegaard Saaby (AU) and Mads Elkjær Poulsen (AU)!
This year’s pre-case launched on March 12 where 15 teams solved a five-hour case centred around DI – The Confederation of Danish Industry. On March 15, the three best teams presented their solutions in the headquarter of DI.
The winning team was Homo Economicus, consisting of Emil-Meyer Kristensen (KU), Mads Bøgebjerg Poulsen (KU), Pierce Ricketts (CBS) and Nicklas Gellner (CBS).
