We are very proud to present Ørsted as case company of The Case Experience 2019. Ørsted is a leading renewable energy company seeking to create a world that runs entirely on green energy. In 1991, Ørsted pioneered the world’s first offshore wind farm and has emerged as the largest offshore wind company globally today. On this day, March 16, more than 100 economics students from universities in Denmark are solving the case centred around Ørsted’s business in the US green energy market. Participants are asked to investigate the fit of US solar PV with Ørsted’s current portfolio, to analyse if Ørsted should proceed entering the US market and to determine the socially optimal mix of solar PV and wind energy in 2030.
